Biography:Themajor research interests include hydrogen production via catalyticprocesses like steam reforming, auto thermal reforming and partialoxidation from various sources such as biomass, ethanol, dimethylether and natural gas and so on. Further purification of thegenerated hydrogen-containing gas mixture was also investigated usingPd-based metallic membranes to obtain high-purity hydrogen forapplication to proton exchange membrane fuel cells or semiconductorindustry. On the environmental catalysis such as the selectivecatalytic reduction of NOx,elimination of various VOCs through catalytic combustion withsimultaneous energy recovery, both fundamental research and thedesign of the chemical process for industrial application are themain work during the past five years. Currently the major workinclude the handling of the solid wastes such as spent FCC catalysts,and automobile shredder residue (ASR) through catalytic processes topromote the circular economy for industry.
