XinYao began his research career as an undergraduate student under thedirection of Professor Qiang Xie at China University of Mining andTechnology Beijing (2010). He earned his Ph.D. from CUMTB (2015) forhis work on the preparation and application of coal-based carbonmaterials. He is currently an assistant professor in the school ofchemistry and chemical engineering at HeFei University of Technology.
