Biography:
Dr.Hui Zou is currently an Associate professor in the Department ofPolymer Science and Engineering, School of Chemistry and ChemicalEngineering, Hefei University of Technology. He received his receivedhis B.Sc. (2011), M.Sc. (2014), and Ph. D (2017) degrees, from TongjiUniversity. During his doctoral studies,Dr.Zou spent 6 months in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as avisiting scholar. After obtaining his doctoral degree, Dr. Zou joinedHefei University of Technology in 2017. His current scientificinterests are helical polymers, stimuli-responsive materials,functional polymerswith well-defined structures, and supramolecular functional polymersbased on host-guest inclusion complexation.
ResearchInterests:
HelicalPolymers: Design and synthesize helical polymers such aspolyisocyanides, polycarbenes, etc, and explored the self-assemblyand chiral separation properties of them.
Stimuli-ResponsivePolymers:Prepare stimuli-responsive polymers, such as thermo-, pH-, UV-,CO2-responsivepolymers, and investigate the controlled drug release behavior oftheir aggregates in aqueous solutions.
FunctionalPolymers with Well-Defined Structures:Fabricate functional polymers with well-defined structures, such asstarlike polymers, H-type polymers, dumbbell-shaped polymers, polymerbrushes, and so forth, by “living”/controlled polymerization,e.g., atom transfer radical polymerization, ring openingpolymerization, isocyanide polymerization, etc..
SupramolecularPolymers: Construct supramolecular polymer with complex topology andspecial functionality based on host-guest recognition.
